Semi-truck accidents are common and often terrifying. Most of the time these truck accidents seem so bizarre. Here are just a few stories about recent semi-truck accidents that have happened around Utah. The stories chosen are not graphic as some accidents are:
Semi-truck overturns in Riverton
In February of 2018, a semi-truck carrying a load of dry wall overturned and landed on a few cars. One car was smashed while the other two were simply hit. There were no deaths in this accident but one man left the scene in critical condition. The Utah Highway Patrol said that the semi-truck driver thought he could not make the light so he tried to turn instead. This is why it overturned.
Death in Spanish Fork
This happened about a month ago in Spanish Fork, UT. A man in his 50s was driving northbound on I-15 when he lost control of his pickup truck. His truck went through the median and collided with a semi-truck going southbound. Unfortunately, the driver of the pickup truck did not survive the crash. He died on the way to the hospital.
Cattle on I-15
This is probably one of the most bizarre accidents we have heard about. In November of 2017, cattle started falling from an overpass on I-15 in Riverdale, UT. There was a semi-truck accident on the overpass above I-15. This crash is one of a kind—or is it? There was a similar crash back in 2016 where 80 cattle died. It is really bizarre that this happened more than once!
