Posted by George Tait | Apr 13, 2018 | 0 Comments

There are so many different types of personal injury that we do here at George Tait Law. Let's explain the different areas that we practice! Here are the areas of personal injury that we cover:

Car Accidents

Car accidents vary from fatal to small fender benders. We look at any variation of a car accident if you feel like you are being taken advantage of. Insurance companies try to take advantage of your situation and not offer you the amount that you are owed.

Semi-Truck Accidents

Semi-trucks are already terrifying but being hit by one would be a nightmare. If you are hit by a semi-truck or it causes the source of the accident, you have a right to hold the driver and the truck company accountable for your injuries. The driver and the company could be held liable for your damages.

Bicycle Accidents

Make sure that you are always wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle because you never know if you are going to be hit by another vehicle. Bodily injuries that happen with a bicyclist are very likely to happen because there is very little protection afforded to bicyclists. Just being clipped could send you flying onto the pavement.

Slips and Falls

Every establishment should be safe for the patrons that visit it. There are three different types of people involved in these kinds of cases. First: invitee. The persons or entity granting this person permission to enter has a duty to make sure to inform the invitee of possible dangers. These could be ice or wet floors. The second: licensee. This is someone who has permission to enter a premises on the basis of social visiting. And the third is a trespasser. These people are not allowed to enter the premises. Slips and falls are avoidable with proper signage.

Burn Injuries

Burn injuries can be life altering. There are many ways that you can get a burn and there are several ways that it can impact your life. A burn may disfigure your body and leave you unable to work. It might cause you constant pain and you might require take medications for the rest of your life.

Dog Bites

Dog bites are one of those things that you think will never happen to you or if dog bites happening, it's just playful nips. These can result in serious wounds and can cause psychological problems later in life. Holding the dog owner responsible is important so that the dog doesn't attack anyone else.

Medical Malpractice

On the same lines as making sure a dog doesn't attack again, medical malpractice has a relatively same goal. Doctors or facilities need are held accountable. Doctors are not perfect and sometimes the mistakes they make cost you more than your bargained for.

Dental Malpractice

Dentists are also not perfect at all. Sometimes they make a mistake that leaves permanent damage in your mouth. It is important to report these mistakes and make sure that you get what you deserve from the case.
